The Universal Law Of Desire

I remember reading somewhere that there is a universal law of desire, that works quite simply- whatever you desire and truly wish for, will just drift away from you bit by bit. But, if you simply wait but still focus on what you desire, then slowly, it will be in your reach, one way or the other.

It's almost like having no expectations, because that way when you don't get what you want or expected, you can never be dissapointed.

What if we all thought like that? Then surely the world would be a much happier place? Of course, that will never happen because it's in human nature to desire and have expectations. For your own sake though, from time to time, try not to expect too much of anything or anyone. Sometimes it's better that way.
